Black Friday Strikes!

Well, gang, Black Friday struck - I was on my feet 14.75 hours, from 0530 to 2015. I sold 12 phones. I was expecting to sell 17, and lost out to one of my coworkers at another store who sold 19(!). Today, however, he sold four, and I sold eight; not bad on a Saturday, which is usually a crummy day. I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of dramatic problems in the store - no screaming fistfights over DVD players, no tears at not being able to purchase after waiting 5 hours in the snow, nothing.

I am grateful at the polite manner our guests displayed. I have had my belief in the decency of the holiday shopper reaffirmed. I breathe a sigh of relief, and look towards a productive and peaceful holiday retail season.
