Eric's a Tech Genius

Uh oh, just in time for Epiphany - Papa's got a brand-new bag. Eric Cowperthwaite, my blog-mate, has gotten a new PDA (Personal Doofus Appliance) and is endeavoring to challange The Little Tyrant (Me) to a remote-blog-fest. This will be a really one-sided competition, since Eric's doting wife bought him a Tungsten-C which has 802.11 WI-Fi in it, and I just have Bluetooth, since back in my day (I'm almost 40, so I can now officially sound like Pop Warner) "WE DIDN'T HAVE NO STINKIN' WI-FI - AND WEEEEE DIDN'T NEED IT!"

Well, good for him. I'M getting an AR-15 lower for MY birthday - hmmph! SO THERE! HAH! I get to build a rifle, while you sit around in some Starbucks, blogging for the masses! HAH! Sure, I can blog from out in the hinterlands, but you are obliged to hang around trendy bookstores with hot college girls...

What was I saying? Anyway, good on ya, mate, and I hope that the new toy takes away any of the fool excuses you've been giving for not blogging...

Laughing, back in your day, that's pretty funny (hint, we're almost the same age), old man. You're turning 40 before me, haha! And yes, the goofus got his personal doofus device working the way he wanted to. Heh, I know you're having fun with the AR-15, but honestly, if I never see another AR-15 or M-16 again I'll be plenty happy. After far too many hours cleaning the stupid things, clearing, disassembling, assembling and function checking them, and all the other weapons silliness the Army does, that's plenty for me. But I hope you enjoy.

Bah! Remember, Tanker-Boy, that as one of the Golden Children of the Sky, we never really got to touch long arms, so I am still fascinated with them.

Heh, now, let me play around with an M68A1 105mm rifled gun (the main gun on tanks before we adopted the RheinMetall 120mm) and I'll do it all day long. That was a true "long gun" :-).
