The "Welcome" Relief of Aid

By now, I am sure that you have heard of the foolish remarks of the Indonesian Vice President, Jusuf Kalla, who has said that the U.S. must complete its relief efforts by March, after which time, the soldiers, Marines, and Naval Aviation personnel who have been risking their lives to save his impoverished people will be expelled.

He's pretty grateful for our efforts there, I gather.

This is the kind of attitude that confirms my understanding that you don't have to have the world's approval to do what is right, since many of the world's leaders and people are motivated by selfish and wicked thoughts - this is revealed in their actions and their words. Think of this in local terms: you come home from dinner, and see your neighbor's house burning, and his family is standing around watching. You give him a blanket and a box of canned food, only for him to turn and say to you, "Thanks - hey, kike, get off my lawn!"

So is there any reason at all that we should be spending one red cent of tax payer money on aid to people who cheer in the streets when our country is attacked? Maybe these people, open supporters of Al Qaeda, should consider their circumstances - why did the tsunami strike their shores, and not the beaches of the "evil" U.S.A.? Whose Divine Hand causes the wicked to be punished in the world?
