Oh, Non, Monsieur! C'est Tragedie!

This American Spectator article is a must-read.

It highlights the "extreme lengths" to which French society will go to reduce the crushing 10% unemployment rate they have been suffering with for years - they're repealing the 35-hour maximum work-week law! Oh no! It's a tragedy, French-style.

Of course, Socialists, labor unions, and the lazy everywhere in La Belle France managed to work up the energy to organize protest marches.  Amazing, for a country that generally couldn't organize the successful sharpening of a box of pencils without the involvement of some Socialist government agency.
