Well, It's Good To Know We're All Safe

Just read a disturbing little piece on the news about a test of our border controls - a government agency, posing as a private company with falsified government documents, was able to cross the border with enough radioactive material (Cesium-137) to manufacture a dirty bomb.

Radiation alarms at the unidentified sites detected the small amounts of cesium-137, a nuclear material used in industrial gauges. But customs agents permitted the investigators to enter the (sic) because they were tricked with counterfeit documents.

Yes, friends, we are safe in the hands of Our .Gov, their remarkable competence at evidence in their complete and utter lack of attention to detail and imagination. Fortunately, these agents in the G.A.O. were possessed of enough presence of mind to "game out" how Hajji will be sneaking in nuclear materials (having changed his name from "Haji Shahab" to "Ramon Sanchez," no doubt). I am glad that they threw this curveball at the U.S. Customs Service.

Meanwhile, thousands of indignant foreigners march in our streets to protest Congress' lame attempt to put our house in order. What will they do if Al Qaeda sneaks in a nuke or five and torches off  some cities?

Return to the Guatemalan ditch they hailed from? Whose jobs can they take at half-wage if our country is in ruins?
